character generator - A special chip in a computer producing a character on a VDU. உரு இயற்றி : கணிப்பொறியிலுள்ள ஒரு தனி நறுவல், காட்சித் திரையில் உருவை உண்டாக்குவது.
character set - A group of characters suitable for transmission from one place to another. Eg. the alphabet. உருத் தொகுதி : உருக்கணம் ஓரிடத்திலிருந்து மற்றோரிடத்திற்குச் செலுத்துவதற்கேற்ற உருக்களின் கூட்டம்.
character string - A sequence of characters in a computer memory. Otherwise known as alphabetic string. உருச்சரம்: கணிப்பொறி நினைவகத்திலுள்ள உருக்கள் வரிசை. வேறுபெயர் அகர வரிசைச்சரம்.
charge - coupled device, CCD - A data storage device. மின்னேற்ற இணைப்புக் கருவியமைப்பு : ஒரு தகவல் சேமிப்புக் கருவியமைப்பு.
chart - A diagram to analyse or solve a problem. படம் : ஒரு சிக்கலைப் பகுக்க அல்லது தீர்வு செய்யப் பயன்படும் விளக்கப்படம்.
chart recorder - An electronic device showing how some quantity varies with time. Eg. atmospheric pressure. படப் பதிவி : ஒரளவு காலத்திற்கேற்ப எவ்வாறு மாறுகிறது என்பதைக் காட்டும் மின்னணுக் கருவியமைப்பு.
Chassis - The metal frame on which circuit boards and components are mounted. சட்டகம் : உலோகச் சட்டம். இதில் மின்சுற்றுப் பலகைகளும் அதன் பகுதிகளும் பொருத்தப்பட்டிருக்கும்.
check - A test to find out a mistake. சரிபார்ப்பு : ஒரு தவறைக் கண்டறியும் ஆய்வு.
check bit - The binary bit, 0,1. சரிபார்ப்பு இருமி : இருமி 0, 1.
check box - This switch is used to enable or disable options. Clicking on a square in this box enables the options and clicking on it again disables it. A tick mark in this square shows that the option is possible and a blank square shows that the option is impossible.
