அழுக்காயிருக்குதென்று வண்ணாத்திக்குப் போட்டு விட்டேன்.

என்னுடைய உடுப்பெல்லாங் கொண்டு வந்தாளா?

ஆமையா, இனி வர வேண்டியதொன்றுமில்லை.
Give me the suit of clothes I had on yesterday,
நேத்து போட்டிருந்த திஸ்து உடுப்பைத் தாரும்.

அவர் படுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்.

அவரின்னந் தூங்குகிறாரா?
He is up.
அவரெழுந்தார்.
How now! are you in ! bed still?
இப்போ எப்படி நீரின்னம் படுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீரா?
I went to bed so late last night, that I could not get up early,
இராத்திரி நான் வெகு நேரமான போது படுக்கைக்கு போனதினாலே சீக்கிரமா யெழுந்திருக்கக் கூடவில்லை.
