1st. My dear Sister
Nancy is brought to bed this morning she has got a daughter; and as the child is not well, she is resolved to have it christened this afternoon—you and I are to stand God-mothers, and Mr. Nicholas God-father. The she gossips are desired to meet at my lodgings at two o’Clock, to keep the Christening.

நன்சியென்கிறவள் இன்று காலமே ஒரு குமாரத்தியைப் பெற்றாள் அந்தகுழந்தை சுகமில்லாதத்தினாலே இன்றுசாயந்திரம் அதுக்கு ஞானஸ்னானங்கொடுப்பிக்க நிற்னையம்பண்ணியிருக்கிறார்கள் நீயும் நானும் ஞானத்தாய்களும் - நிக்லஸ் துரை ஞானத்தொகப்பனுமாயிருக்கவேண்டியது ரெண்டுமணிக்கு இந்தஞானஸ்னானத்தை நடப்பிக்கு நிமித்தியம் கும்மாதிரிமார்கள் நானிருக்குமிடத்தில் வந்து சேரும்படி வேண்டிக் கொள்ளட்பட்டிருக்கின்றது.
