The term amalhi in Cilappathikaaram occurs in ten times and wherever it is used, it denotes bed only (14-126, 1–64, 6- 170, 8–1 l 7, 22- 139 etc.) + Ilhangoo atikalh describes amalhi as the place where the Chera queen slept.
