'composed songs interspersed, set to popular tunes. The senti- ment of pathos running through the whole of this drama strikes me as peculiarly happy in its choice; and no less striking it is to find love in all its debasing aspects carefully eliminated. I doubt not that staging plays like this will assuredly benefit our society which is saturated with many an exciting aimless pre-occupation. The publication well deserves to be encouraged as a commendable attempt at dramatisation reflecting credit upon its composer.

சௌபாக்கியவதி வை. மு. கோதைநாயகி யென்னும் மாதரசியற்றிய இந்திரமோஹனா வென்னும் நாடகநூலைக் கண்ணுற்றேன். இது சொல்லழகும், பொருளழகும் குன் றாது தெள்ளிய வினிய தமிழ்நடையினை யுடையதாய், கதா பாகம் வெகுநன்றாக வமையப்பெற்று, சோகரஸப் பிரதான மாகவுள்ளது. இது, இடையிடையே இசைநூன் முறைப்படி இன்றியமையாத பல இனிய பாடல்களும் பொருந்தப் பெற் றிருத்தலின் படிப்பவர் மனத்தைக் கவருந்தன்மைத் தென்ப திற் சிறிது மையமின்று. இதைப் படிப்போர்க்கு, இந்நூ லாசிரியர்க்குள்ள இயற்கையறிவு, கல்வி, தெய்வபக்தி, ஊக் கம், ஒழுக்கம் முதலிய நற்குணங்கள் விளங்காமலிரா. இத் தகைய பெண்மணிகள் இங்ஙனம் நூல்களை யியற்றிப் பரவச் செய்யின் உலகு இன்புறுவது திண்ணமாதலின், எனையோர் உரியவாறு உதவி புரிவது நலம்.
