As all the copies of the 2nd edition of this book having been exhausted by a more rapid sale than the 1st & 2nd editions, & a further demand for more copies from different parts of India, Burma, & Ceylon &c., having proved that the ivork has become a practical one, & much more popular, the author feels it justified in bringing out this 3rd edition, with the hope of its receiving much more encouragement at the hands of the very general and common public. In the revision of this 3rd edition, some important matters & pictares having been added & a few misprints having been corrected, and also some new testimonials granted volunteerly hitherto, have been added by the requests of the General Public. Notwithstanding of the above additions &c., the price of the book has not been enhanced, with the view that this practical work may become within the easier reach of the more general public and thus much more familiar & popular.
