We all have very strong belief in the power of prayer and worship. That is why we say that “more things are wrought by prayer than the world dreams of.”
But when we pray to the Divine, most of us have a problem as to what we should pray for. Usually our prayers are for property, prosperity and material pleasures. Many pray for a good life for themselves and their friends and relatives. Only a few pray for the well being and progress of humanity as a whole.
There may not be even a single individual who prays to the Divine, simply leaving it to the divine to grant him what the divine considers is good for him. Our habit is to pray and seek from the divine what we perceive as our greatest requirements.
