13 made to erect a suitable monument or memorial. Even our Indian Government has not so far thought to instal a portray in the hall of the Lok Sabha. Not even a postal stamp has been issued in commemoration of this great bard. The most appropriate place for installing a suitable monument is Cape Comorin. In and around that many institutions catering to the educational and scientific needs of the people can be started so that it may attract the intellectual men of the world. The memorial should be above caste, creed or religion, but purely a place of dedication to that great poet. This may be a lone cry in the wilderness but it is of great significance. This is a golden opportunity for all diverse sectarian and political leaders professing multifarious dogmas, to gather together and channel their efforts in such a noble endeavour. A Trust can be formed in the poet's name and an endowment for awarding prizes be created. It is hoped that encouragement will be forthcoming for this noble cause though this may appear a novel scheme. Punalur, | Yours faithfully, 20–5–1959. P. RAMASWAMY, INDIAN EXPRESS, WALLUVAR MEMORIAL.
