Decad:18 Kuyirppaththu (Decad of the Kuyil) Sub-titie: Aaththurna Irakkarn (Soul's Yearning) (Sung at Thillai) Kuyil is a bird (Eudynamys indicus), and paththu = (Ten) decad; Aaththuma = soul's; Irakkam = yearning. The saint in his bridal mysticism as a love-lorn bride makes use of this decad for sending a messenger to her lover-God Civan-to convey her deep love for Him. This decad is just like the 10th decad-Thirukkothihurnbi in which the king dragon is sent as a micssenger of love. This decad is made up of 10 verses of Aasiriya viruththam metre. 513
