EDecad. 25 Aasaippaththu (Decad of desire) Sub-title: Aatma ilakkanann (Characteristics of a soul) Abstract: in this Decad the saint prays to God “Call me to dismantle this pus-exuding, fly-infested, dirt-over laid walking frame of mine (3), and I long to receive Your grace of hailing me from there “Come hither l’’ (1). He expresses his desire of His saying “Aa Aa”-- come hither " (3) and His saying that he is a person worthy of pity (5) and that he need not fear (10). He appeals that he is tired of his contemptible body though appearing externally alright like the ripe fruit of tamarind covering the fleshy interior (5) in which fruit the outer pericarp will be detached from the inter part. He is desirous of seeing God (2), to see and embrace HIs Feet (4,8) and to sing His thousand names (7,8) The ripeness of his soul seems to be expressed by his fervent desire to see God and go to Him, his detachment from his stinking body and his complete surrender to Him saying that he is helpless, befitting the sub-title of this decad.
