35. Achcha-p-paththu “I will not fear even the blazing flash of fire. I will not fear even if the mountain roll down on me. But if I see those who do not become worshippers of the lotus Feet of Him with ash-smeared shoulders, the Rider of the bull, my Father of transcending spiritual stage and speech, and who do not adorn their heads with those renowned blossoms and who do not thaw and melt for His grace, Ah me! It is only then that we are frightened”. (35:6) “I will not fear even undeserved calumny. I will not fear (pre-mature) death. But if we see those who do not thaw in worshipping the Feet of the Principal who, wearing a wreath of just blossoming Kondrai (Cassia fistula) flowers dances in the beauteous hall in Thillai, swinging His hand with smoke abounding fire, Ah me ! It is only then that we are frigh tened.” (35:7) “I will not fear the elephant smashing its chained pillar. I will not fear the fiery-eyed tiger. But if we see those witless persons who do not happily live, worshipping the jewelled feet of our Lord of fragrant matted locks, of the Feet of my Father which are unapproachable by the heavenly ones, Ah me ! It is only then that we are frightened.” (35:8) 701
