Decad:49 Thiru-p-padaiyaatchi (The Marshalling of the sacred Army) Sub-title: Jeevopaadhi Ozhiththal (The Cessation of Suffering of (Jeevan) life Abstract: In this decad the saint deals with the victory of the sacred war. It appears that this is a continuation of decad 46 which deals with the Mobilisation of the Holy Army of Servitors, Devotees, saints and Siddhaas to wage a war against the forces of delusion, Karma and Aaanavam in order to capture the city of Bliss. Having won the war of the soul against the three taints, the saint explains in these verses the Cessation of the sufferings of the soul. They appear to be delirious ravings but certainly to expatiate on the ineffable freedom which he has achieved, of course, with His Grace. It is nothing but the supreme “Pure freedom indistinguishable from infinite freedom”. Therefore he delights in singing: “When He in His Grace comes and manifests in me, my eyes no longer delight beholding His feet (1) In fact the saint has gained God-head-Civan-hood-he is God. So the joys and sorrows of the human soul have ceased to be and the supreme status of the saint is nothing but God living in God. 545
