பொருள் விகுதியெனக் காட்டுவாருமுளர்.” -வி. கோ. சூ. காண்டும் - ம்ெ விகுதிபெற்ற எதிர்காலத் தன்மை பன்மை வினைமுற்று. அறியார் இதற்கு இறந்த காலமாகவே பொருள் கூறுவர். வி. கோ. சூ. பின்னிாடிகளும் யாம் பெரிதும் முயன்ருல் எதையுஞ் செய்து முடிக்கலாமென்றெண்ணி, நினைத்தபடி யெல்லாஞ் செய்தல் அடாதென விளக்கி நின்றது. விளக்கேற்றுதலாகிய காரியஞ் செய்து முடிக்க வேண்டுநர் வெள்ளிடையாகிய இருந்துழியிருந்து அதனைச் செய்யப்புகின் ஊழொடு முரணிக் காரியம் முடிக்கப்படாத போதலுனர்ந்து ஊழின் வழித்தாங் காற்றினின்றும் விலகிக் காப்பிடம் புகுதலாகிய முயற்சியைச் செய்து, அதன் பின்னர் விளக்கேற்றல் வினை செய்யப்புகின் கைகூடும் என உய்த்துணர்ந்து கொள்க...... இஃது எடுத்துக் காட்டுவமை யணியின் பாற்படும். முகமென்பது தமிழ்ச் சொல்லே யென முன்னரே நிறுவி யிருக்கின்றனமாதலின் இது தனித்தமிழ்ச் செய்யுளாகல் காண்க.” -வி. கோ. சூ.
