- படும் - வேண்டும், ககும்', ' படும் இம் மூன்றுமொரு பொருட் கிளவியாய்த் தொழிற்பெயராய்க் தேற்றப்பொருள் பட்டே கிற்கு மென்க. இங்வனம் வருஞ் செய்யுட்கெல்லாம் கச்சிஞர்க்கினியர், சேன வாையர், பரிமேலழகர், உரையாசிரியர் முதலாயினர் (முற்ருயும் எச்சமாயும் பொருளுாைக்கின் வழுவாம் என்று கருதி, வியங்கோட் பொருட்டென் மறும், விதிப் பொருட்டென்றும், தகுதிப் பொருட்டென்றும் வேண்டுப வென்றும், தமக்கு வேண்டியவாறே பொருளெழுதிச் சொற்குணம் வாளா போயினர்-கன்னூல் - வினையியல் - விருத்தியுாை.” -சி. மு.
இச் செய்யுள் தனித் தமிழ்ச் சொற்களா னியன்றுள்ளமை அறிக.
