அறிமடம் பூண்டு நிற்பாாார் :
- அறிஞர் பிறர்க்குப் பயன்படுஞ் செயல்களையே செய்து அவை பிறர்க்குப் பயன்படுவதை அறிந்துங்கூடக் கம்மைப் புகழாமல் அவற்றை யெல்லாம் அறிந்தும் அறியாதவர்போ விருப்பாரென்றும், அக்குணம் அவ் அறிஞர்க்கன்றி அடக்க மில்லார்க் கில்லையாதலால் அல்லால் ஆர் எனவுங் கூறினர்.” -இள.
- அறிமடம் பூண்டு நிற்பாரா” என்று பாடங்கொண்டு, நிற்கமாட் டார் என்று பொருளுரைத்தார் அ. குமாரசுவாமிப் புலவர்.
