PROSPECTUS. It is proposed that a Periodical, under the ap- pellation of கிரந்தமந்தணகூடம் Tamil Museum and Review of Oriental Philology, shall be pub- lished from time to time according to the Editor's leisure, convenience and means. Each issue will be a number complete in itself, i. e. an entire book as in the instance above, of the Tholcapya-Nunnool. The Editor of the Tamil Museum proposes to publish in it, only those subjects that he is already in possession of, or which he has himself mastered. The articles therefore which may appear in its numbers are as follow-viz: 1. Hitherto unpublished Manuscripts. 2. Translations from English and Sanscrit. 3. Original Essays styled sue in imitation of the British Essayists. 4. Phi- lological Criticisms or Comparative Syntax of the English Tamil,and Sanscrit languages. 5.
